Some people instantly light up a room just by walking in, you feel allured by them; from the way they walk to the way they talk. They appear confident without being egotistical; something that we can’t define it: They’re naturally charismatic.
Charismatic people influence others, they make people around them feel special and confident, they are the kind of people everyone wants to be around.
1- Listen more than you speak
People love to feel important, “listening” to them while they speak without interrupting and maintaining eye contact makes them feel understood and comfortable in the conversation.
2- Brush up on the name game
Charismatic people remember and use people’s names when they address them; reason number one: it indicates that you are paying attention enough to remember who they are. Reason number two: Scientists have discovered that hearing one’s own name stimulates the brain in a way that activates a sense of self-worth and value.
3- Give without expecting anything in return
Giving is the only way to establish a real genuine connection and relationship, leaders don’t think about what they will get in return. Plus, giving and helping people makes them feel happy!
4- Use Humor
A sense of humor is part of the art of leadership and it’s a key to success, but don’t over use it, remember you are not in a comedy show. Tasteful humor makes people enjoy your company, plus it can increase productivity; your enthusiasm may be contagious. It’s a win-win situation!
5- Turn the spotlight on others
Charismatic people praise others and make them feel appreciated and more important, they shine the spotlight on other’s accomplishments.
6- Admit your failings
Incredibly Charismatic people are not shy about their failures and screwups. In opposite, they share them openly and laugh at their mistakes.
7- Be optimistic
Optimists are generally happier with their lives than pessimists. Everyone likes to be around people who are always positive and who see the glass half full.
8- Eye contact
Maintain eye contact but don’t over due it or else you will look like a creep. Eye contact is an incredibly strong indicator of confidence, it shows that you are focused and interested in the other person and actually listening to what he has to say.
9- Be Calm and Collected
Leaders with powerful personalities always come off as cool, collected and calm even when they are uncomfortable, that’s why people trust them. Showing anxiety kills your charisma and make others feel like you don’t have control over the situation.
Have you ever felt attracted to someone without knowing why? that’s charisma. Charismatic people are appealing to others, they use their skills to get people on their side. They are people that everyone likes and wants to be around because of their enchasing personality.
